City of Fort Pierce Installs an Outdoor Fitness Station by the Waterfront

Citizens can now enjoy outdoor fitness by the beautiful waterfront at no cost. The City of Fort Pierce Public Works Department recently installed a new outdoor fitness station conveniently located at the corner of Indian River Drive and Seaway Drive for the benefit of public use outdoors, free of charge.

The new outdoor fitness station rests on a 35 x 35-foot square concrete pad, featuring 9 pieces of workout equipment. It is perfectly positioned between the River Walk and South Causeway Bridge where patrons frequently enjoy the breathtaking scenery while exercising. The innovative fitness station conveniently affords residents and guests the opportunity to maintain a healthy and happy lifestyle outdoors.

About the Fitness Station:
 
The outdoor equipment was purchased through Exofit Outdoor Fitness ( https://www.exo.fit/), a company out of Miami, Florida. The total cost of this which includes the equipment and concrete pad was approximately $24,000.00 provided by the Parks M.S.T.U. (Municipal Service Taxing Unit) funds. The Park M.S.T.U. funds are specifically intended to be used for public benefit.

Sit-up Bench; Chest Press-Lat Pull; Double Pull-Up Bars; Twist & Step Machine; Pushup-Dip Station; Row Machine; Cross Skier; a 4 Person Combo Station, and a Fitness Bike.
