City of Fort Pierce Cancels Youth Recreation Programming Due to COVID-19 for the Remainder of 2020.

Following the guidelines and recommendations of the CDC and Health Department related to COVID-19, the City of Fort Pierce will cancel all city facilitated youth recreation programs at this time. Recreational programs include football & cheer, basketball, karate, and mentoring. 

The City of Fort Pierce’s primary goal is for the safety and well-being of each child that participates in a recreational sport or program. City staff will continue to work towards the return of the programs and activities while incorporating new guidelines and procedures to provide a healthy environment for everyone.  

Serving over 500 youth, the City of Fort Pierce recreational programs play a vital role in our community by offering a safe, and fun atmosphere for children to enjoy. The City of Fort Pierce is hopeful to bring these positive and influential programs back in a safe and secure manner in 2020.
