The City of Fort Pierce is extending the prescreening period for COVID-19 testing until all appointments have been filled. There are approximately 600 appointments available to individuals wanting to know if they have had Coronavirus or are currently infected with COVID-19. The testing site is located at Ilous Ellis Park, 1211 Avenue M, Fort Pierce, FL 34950. When arriving for an appointment, patients should travel U.S. Highway 1 to access Avenue O. Drive approximately .3 miles west and the site will be on the left. If the individual is getting an antibody test, which involves drawing blood, they will be instructed to enter lane “A.” and for individuals undergoing the nasal swab, the will enter lane “S.” Patients getting nasal swabs must remain in their vehicles. Patients getting the antibody must get out of their vehicle to have their blood drawn by a phlebotomist.
