The City of Fort Pierce receives Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds each year from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to address a variety of public service, public facilities, infrastructure, and economic development needs within the boundaries of the City of Fort Pierce.
CDBG funds are primarily used to benefit low and moderate-income residents and areas of Fort Pierce.
The City of Fort Pierce anticipates HUD will allocate approximately $474,000 to the City for the 2015-2016 program year through the CDBG program.
The city is currently working to develop its 2015-2016 Annual Action Plan to detail how the anticipated funds will be used between October 1, 2015 through September 30, 2016.
City residents are invited to help design the 2015-2016 Action Plan by taking an online, 5-question Community Needs Assessment Survey.
The survey can be accessed by clicking the link below.
Citizens can also pick up a paper copy of the survey at Fort Pierce City Hall, 100 North U.S. 1, or request one be emailed or mailed to them by calling 772-467-3169 or emailing ewoodruff@city-ftpierce.com between May 4 and June 15.
