Commission Seek Applications for the Fort Pierce Infrastructure Surtax Citizen Oversight Committee

CITY OF FORT PIERCE – The Fort Pierce City Commission is seeking individuals to serve on the Fort Pierce Infrastructure Surtax Citizen Oversight Committee.  As required by the 2018 voter referendum, the Infrastructure Surtax Citizen Oversight Committee is tasked with reviewing projects funded by Infrastructure Surtax and issuing reports to the City Commission. This ensures transparency and provides City of Fort Pierce citizens assurances that funding is being spent in the manner approved by voters and in accordance with state laws. The Committee acts solely in an oversight and advisory capacity to the City Commission and shall not be responsible for identifying projects or determining the priority of a proposed project on the approved projects list.  

 

Members must be residents of the City of Fort Pierce. Residents with a background in engineering, planning, or finance are encouraged to apply. Applications should be returned by August 1, 2023.
