FORT PIERCE – St. Lucie County’s Transit Division of Community Services is pleased to announce a new service that provides free transportation to residents that are in need of medical attention, but lack health insurance.
St. Lucie County, in collaboration with the Florida Department of Transportation and Community Transit, is now offering free shuttle service to and from the Fort Pierce Bus Station, 8th Street & Avenue D, to the HANDS Clinic of St. Lucie County. Roundtrip service is offered Mondays and Wednesdays at 8 a.m., 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m.
Located at 3855 South US 1, inside the Gwenda Thompson Trade Center (formerly known as the St. Lucie County Logistics Center, HANDS of St. Lucie County provides primary health care services and access to a continuum of healthcare to qualified, low-income, uninsured, adult residents of St. Lucie County.
