Free fishing days provide an excellent opportunity for parents who don't yet have licenses to take youth fishing, or avid anglers to introduce a friend to fishing without having to purchase a license. On these days, the fishing license requirement is waived for all recreational anglers (residents and non-residents).
All other rules (e.g., seasons, bag and size limits) apply.

The saltwater waiver applies to any recreational harvest requiring a saltwater fishing license (e.g., crabbing, lobstering, scalloping, etc.) as well as fishing from shore or a boat. A snook or spiny lobster permit are not required on these days.

Saturday June 9th is the annual Restoring the Village Community Beautification Program. This year we will include special projects in Sheraton Plaza, Paradise Park, Harmony Heights and Sunland Gardens. The 2018 projects will also include other areas of the Lincoln Park Community.

Every Saturday, the Fort Pierce Jazz & Blues Society hosts a Jazz Market "featuring creative arts & crafts" in Historic Downtown Fort Pierce on the waterfront of the Indian River. Original hand made crafts, stained glass, Highwaymen paintings, hand-painted glassware and much, more are available for purchase. Funds raised support education programs and local scholarships.

Dan Long - Hailing from Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, and standing at 6’ 7”, Dan Long has been treating audiences all over the country to his unique brand of clever, dry and occasionally dark humor. Minda Mo - Minda is a two-time winner of the Boca Comedy Festival, has performed on Improv, NY Comedy Club, Flappers, and the most notable Florida stages. This native Floridian is known for her unique and ironic take on the world, with unforgiving viewpoints on life’s everyday occurrences.

The 6th Annual Lionfish Safari is an opportunity to learn more about the invasive Lionfish that are taking over our coastal waters. Divers can participate in the competition for biggest, smallest, and most lionfish removed from the water over the weekend, and cash prizes up to $3,000 will be awarded!
Kid's Activities, Art, Bands, Vendors, and Food booths will be present throughout the weekend, and the scientific community will be on site taking measurements and samples so we can learn more about how to stop this predator from eating all of our native fish species. This educational event is fun for the entire family!
