  6. 2nd Annual OPEN HOUSE 2018 National Safe Boating Week

    May 19, 2018, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM @ U. S. Coast Guard Station Fort Pierce

    On Hand will be Representatives from various Treasure Coast Law Enforcement and Rescue Agencies. Boats, Fire Trucks, Rescue Trucks, and K9 Officers! Tour the Boats, Touch the Gear, and See Live Demonstrations! Meet “Coastie” the Boating Safety Robot! US Coast Guard Auxiliary Members will Answer Boating Safety Questions Fun Activities for Kids of ALL Ages. Demonstration Teams and times are: Noon, St. Lucie County K-9 unit. 1pm, St. Lucie County Remote Operated Vessel (ROV), dive units. 2pm, Martin County Ocean Rescue The US Coast Guard Auxiliary will also be on hand to provide educational material that will highlight the importance of safe boating practices including vigilance on the water. Finger printing for kids and Coastie the robotic Safety Boat will be on hand as well.
