Every Saturday, the Fort Pierce Jazz & Blues Society hosts a Jazz Market "featuring creative arts & crafts" in Historic Downtown Fort Pierce on the waterfront of the Indian River. Original hand made crafts, stained glass, Highwaymen paintings, hand-painted glassware and much, more are available for purchase. Funds raised support education programs and local scholarships.

More than 30 teams of competitive chili chefs are honing their skills in preparation for the 35th Annual Chili Cook-Off, to be held July 15 from 11 AM to 6 PM inside the air-conditioned Havert L Fenn Center, Fort Pierce. Parking and admission are free.

It's a highly competitive event, with teams eager to win the coveted Jim Lamb Memorial Award for Best Chili. Last year's winners, the St. Lucie Mets, are competing again this year, and are anxious to defend their champion status. In addition to the best chili award, teams compete in several other categories, including best team spirit and fundraising.
