  2. The Jazz Craft Market

    Every Saturday, the Fort Pierce Jazz & Blues Society hosts a Jazz Market "featuring creative arts & crafts" in Historic Downtown Fort Pierce on the waterfront of the Indian River. Original hand made crafts, stained glass, Highwaymen paintings, hand-painted glassware and much, more are available for purchase. Funds raised support education programs and local scholarships.

    Jazz Week is quickly approaching! Are you as excited as we are??? Pre-Jazz Week activities begin Saturday, March 18th. Waterfront Blues events are on Sunday, March 19th. And Jazz Week officially starts on Tuesday, March 21st. There will be lots of great music all week. We feel this will be the best Jazz Week thus far. In the coming days, more details and pictures of each Jazz Week event will appear on the Jazz Society Facebook page.... We'll see you at Jazz Week !!!

  4. Taste of the Sea & Sandy Shoes Seafood Festival

    March 18, 2017, 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM @ River Walk Center

    Local Florida seafood specialties, live music, family fun area, maritime exhibitors, arts and crafts and more in historic downtown Ft Pierce along the waterfront on Indian River Dr at Veteran's Memorial Park (River Walk Center.) The Treasure Coast Chowder cup also takes place on this day, with over 20 contestants serving up many varieties of chowder from $1-$3 There is an Iron Chef competition as well as the Annual Citrus squeeze-off that will take place at the north end of the festival. The festival hours this year are from 10:00am to 10:00pm with most food served from 11:00am to 7:00pm. This is the third anniversary and with the continued growth of the downtown area this home grown event is very important to our community. We hope that you will enjoy all the new entertainment we have in store for you this coming year and look forward to seeing each and everyone of you this March!

His song catalog is incredibly vast and includes such immortals as Early Morning Rain, If You Could Read My Mind, Carefree Highway, Sundown, (That's What You Get) For Lovin Me, The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald, Cold On The Shoulder, Canadian Railroad Trilogy, Ribbon Of Darkness, Beautiful, Song For A Winter's Night, Shadows, Rainy Day People, Did She Mention My Name and Summertime Dream to name just a few. All of which are woven together with some of Lightfoot's own behind the scenes stories and personal anecdotes about his historic 50-year musical career. The event is sure to be a great thrill for live audiences and anyone who enjoys hearing great music and seeing a living legend in person.
