Residents of impacted areas are asked to place storm-generated debris on the right-of-way by Monday, October 17th.
Vegetative debris and demolition debris should be placed in two separate piles along the curbside. Be sure not to place debris piles too close together or near mailboxes, light poles, vehicles or other structures to make it easier for crews to pick up all of the Hurricane Matthew debris.

In an ongoing effort to reduce the amount of solid waste being disposed at the landfill, Solid Waste has developed and implemented Fort Pierce’s “Do More Blue” recycling initiative. We set an ambitious goal for City residents, businesses and visitors to see more tons diverted from the landfill to productive reuse and to reach Florida's recycling goal of 75 percent by 2020.
